Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen. It is harder to crack a prejudice than an atom.

“The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest minds of past centuries.”  Rene Descartes(philosopher, mathematician)

“I have never known any distress that an hour’s reading did not relieve.”  Montesquieu(philosopher)

“People don’t realize how a man’s whole life can be changed by one book.”  Malcolm X(human rights activist)

”Read not to contradict and confute; nor to believe and take for granted; nor tofind talk and discourse; but to weigh and consider.” Francis Bacon(philosopher, theologian, jurist)

“Every book teaches me something new or helps me see things differently. I was lucky to have parents who encouraged me to read.” Bill Gates(entrepreneur)

I lost my father at fifteen. Since then, books have been signpost that lights my way. This blog shares what I felt and considered in reading.
